Ive got the 12 inch version, 15 whole minutes. If you are from a generation that brought you to love the tradition of christmas then its a great song. Its a shame about Mister Glitter, he had some good christmas songs

Yes it's a jolly good seasonal song to sing along to. And who the Hell are you to call us a load of saddos.

Its the only christmas number one where they put the lyrics to the song on screen during the Top of the Pops performance in 1973.It's a song that has lasted the test of time, which proves what a good record it really is.Good ole Noddy!

I love it, its better than all the all the sickly rubbish that gets thrown out around this time. Christmas songs are awful, as a rule, but the Pogues, and Slade ... make me smile

What!!! It's a great song, really catchy, a foot-tapping knee-slapping classic from the good old days of our childhood. I don't really like Christmas much these days, but if anything redeems the experience, it has to be that number and Wizzard's equally glorious contribution. May the Seventies live forever!

Christmas wouldn't be the same without Slade. I loved it then and still play it loud in my car during the days leading up to Christmas.

They are all great when you have had a couple of drinks with family and/or friends - great fun banging out all the old chrissy songs once a year, including that one. GIVE IT SOME STICK.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!

YES - it IS rubbish. Its the biggest downside to Christmas every year. Surely only those people with serious taste impairment can actually LIKE it?
