I finally found the LimeWire files in my computer. I clicked on them and clicked "Sync," and they moved them to my Windows Media Player. Can I sync the songs from my Player to my iPod, or do I absolutely have to use iTunes? If I ABSOLUTELY have to use iTunes, can you please tell me how to get my songs from my Media Player to iTunes?
Thank you.

I tried adding the new folder to my library thing. It said to look in certain files, so I opened up my Windows Media Player playlist with all my songs on it, but the new folder just stayed empty. :/

Open iTunes.
From the File menu, select Add Folder to Library.
This brings up your file directory.
Select the folders containing the music you want to transfer and hit OK.
iTunes will do the rest.
You will have to repeat for each folder.
OR when you install iTunes, it will ask you if you want to convert your music to iTunes. You can simply click yes.

When you install itunes it will search for all your music.

If that fails, go to file add folder and add your music that way.
