No, in fact you better send a New Year card now if you haven't send people a Christmas one, make sure that you get New Year cards and then put "P.S. Merry Christmas" in them or something and make sure that next year you sort out your Christmas cards earlier. Try to get them there as early on in December as possible. It's better to get them there a month early than a week late.

Not silly at all, it is the thought that counts. Write in the card that you hope they have had a Happy Christmas with best wishes for the new year. Don't forget some people haven't celebrated Christmas yet. Old calendar celebrants.

Christmas Day falls on December 25. It is preceded by Christmas Eve on December 24, and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day on December 26. Some Eastern Orthodox Churches (olt rite or old style Orthodox) celebrate Christmas on January 7, which corresponds to December 25 on the Julian calendar. December 25 as a birthdate for Jesus is merely traditional, and is not widely considered to be his actual date of birth.[2]

Not silly at all. I usually end up sending a couple every year. Even with a christmas card list, I still manage to forget somebody!

Very silly. Find belated Christmas Cards. Or just mail the christmas cards now and blame it on the post office like millions of Americans do.

I give up! Are you trying to ask if you should send New Year's cards since you are too late to mail cards to be received by Christmas day?

If you are, then why not New Year's Cards. I have a number of friends who send New Year's cards.

Sending cards is just a conspiracy by the Post Office. In case we didn't waste enough money on ridiculously expensive gifts, fattening food that we would normally never eat, decorations and all the other trappings of the holiday, the evil Post Office sneaks in and convinces us that we MUST send cards at this time of year. It's a conspiracy, I tell you!!

I don't think it's silly. You can also just send a "Happy Holidays" card that will cover all the holidays this month.

Not at all. It's the thought that count's. It's like receiveing a Birthday card the day after you Birthday or a couple days after. It still carries the same sentiment. I say send it. '-)
