I have grandparents that own 4 houses, a farm, a Hellcat (Fighter plane), 7 cars and a street. I have an Aunt who owns 3 houses, and on my other side my Grandparents aren't very well off... Sad thing is, the wealthy side doesn't give me anything, whereas the other side gives me something every holiday

If they're a close relative and your in need of something yes. But I wouldnt expect them to take care of me lol. My grandma has alot of money and I get nothing from her. Not even gifts or even calls on holidays! Nothing even for my son who's 3. No calls, nothing. I actually don't want anything from someone with a cold heart like her anyway. I wouldn't feel right taking a penny from someone like that.

No honey. There is nothing free in this world, not anymore since the fall of Adam and Eve from heaven. If your relatives help you, no matter how obligated they feel they are, there is always something you have to do for them in the end. If it's not a favor you have to do for them, it will be just emotional attack making you feel useless for needing their help. It is just life and it applies to everybody.

While their alive only if there was an emergency.
When they die I'm assuming they before me, I would expect equal distribution among the living
heirs. Unless they had a specific will which included
favorite charities. If I was deserving in their eyes
Then the answer is yes.

No not like theyre obligated. But if we are indeed close and I fell upon hard times, I'd like to think out of the kindess of their heart, and the respect for helping family out that they'd lend a helping hand, but I do understand its not mandatory whatsoever.

HaHaHaHa. They have no obligation to do so and why should you expect it? I had an uncle that left my aunts 10 children 25,000.00 each and the rest of us nothing. That was his money, his choice. I have another uncle who has tons and thinks he can take it with him. Oh, well it's his.

No. I have a rich relative and she shares her money. But she only shares it because she loves me.

no, I wouldn't want people to send me money if they're going to feel guily about it.
I am financially poor but I still give money to charities. I am thankful because I have food to eat, clothes to wear (even if I don't have designer ones or the latest fashion), a roof over my head, a family who loves me and to love, etc....
This is what makes me rich.

Nope. It's there money and they have to pay off for their own things and I have to respect that. They have other obligations for me such as Christmas presents and stuff. although it would be nice getting money.
