They get x amount of funds during their campaign... as long as they keep fighting, those funds keep coming. It is that simple.
Think... if you were getting x amount of dollars to spend on a losing fight, what would you do? Would you pay a few friends to do a few jobs here and there in hopes that your next political fight might be easier?

I don't think ANY politican knows they are going to lose. Hope springs eternal, and this commercial might be THE one that will bring in all those lost souls who aren't voting for "me."

So their point of view can still be heard. Alec Baldwin is a total nut and still hasn't shut up! Even though we live in a society that couldn't care less was anyone thinks or what is right or wrong we never shut up.
