Thumbs up if you don't go to church

2006-12-22 09:12:12 · update #1

I believe in God but I don't go to church.
I don't agree with the church's bias teachings that's why I don't go.

Because they are hipocrits!!! I'm a christian and I don't got to church. I also have two children outof wedlock with my boyfriend of five years and believe I catch ten kinds of hell about that one. I have my beliefs and do what I think os right so bible pushers need to stay out of my face....sorry I had to blow off my steam..those people really push my buttons what gives them the right to judge..the way I see it if I am going to hell for not being married I'll see them there for trying to pass judgement!!!

Some people are so into there "beleifs" ,that they associate going to church with being a spiritual and good person. I for one have seen and heard that a lot. It really pisses me off because I know for my situation that I always have this thought in the back of my mind how will God judge me if I do such and such. I always try to do as many good deeds as possible so that I will receive my blessings. I take time out to pray to God to let him know that I appreciate him for all that he does in my life and others around me. I pray for all humanity and I try to control my bad thoughts and the way I do that is with saying good words.
With all this being said I've been doing this stuff all my life for the salvation of my soul but I just started going to church 5 sundays ago. Now the "christians" that judge others because they don't go ,do they do anything for God during the week other than Sunday ? If they are so much holy than thou Don't they know that God is our only judge and he does not smile on others who try to do his job. And the people that go to church do they actually go to hear a message from God or are they just going because of how they will be perceived because they go? True people of God will let you know that maybe you need to hear the word of God because their might be a message for you . These people will let you know that and leave it to you and God to handle your salvation. They don't judge and they don't make you feel guilty about not going. But keep this in mind. If you feel a little guilt that might be God telling you that maybe they are right.

My b/f would be better at answering this question but he is currently at work. He was a missionary for 2 years and went to church a few times a week after he was finished. He is always quoting scripture even though I was his down fall. One thing he did say to me before is the ones that do those sort of things to other people are just as guilty for what they say and have more sin for their judgment even though they would never admit to it.

Christianity and Islam is a beast. Or better yet, its like the blob from the old horror movie, 'The blob'. It attempts to devour every human being in its path if they don't get away from it. I go to church on Christmas becuase I have respect for Him but I'm not blind to the truth about my existance here on this little planet in the middle of the void of space. Religion junkies aren't going to change my mind or make me feel guilty in the least.

Ah, your question tries to turn the tables but doesn't quite succeed!!it is likely YOU who feels guilty for not going to Church and now you are trying to put the onus for your discontent on Christians. If you had no interest at all or belief, you would not feel guilty, you would just not care.

Well, if you don't believe in God why would we want you to come to church? Christians may try to get you to become Christian by witnessing, but I haven't met any of us who will harass you into coming or anything. I would ask the specific Christian who did this, instead of talking badly about all of us.
