i use youtube a lot, but other programs are affected also. It has only been a major problem in the last few days.

What kind of wireless do you have? Cable, or Pacific Telephone DSL. If you are using PacBell, you are hitting peak telephone usage, and that's could be one reason for the slow down. Also, you need to have them ping the line and see if you are being piggybacked during that time period. Someone may have run across your wireless signal and be using it along with you during that time period. this will definitely slow down your connection, as well as stealing signal from you. If that's the case, have them help you set security on your wireless. If you have a router, call the router manufacturer for help with security.

First guess would be that you're sharing it with some business people and when they log off and go home, you are getting more bandwidth.

We need more information. What are you connected to? Does anyone share that connection? Is it overloaded?

Use this tool from the Argonne National Labratories and test your connection at various times. You will probably get more "Network Congestion limited throughput" in the afternoon.

Chances are somebody else (accidentially or otherwise) is logging to thw web through your wireless. The best way to fix this is to encrypt your connection.

the reason why is because during the day their is a lot of clouds that interfear and u also got to factor the suns rays bouncing off the clouds it is going to be a lot of interfearince, but at night time the sun has set and your wireles network is going to be stronger
