how do u call the U.S. from Mexico? I have a friend, and she is tryin 2 call me and is dialin' 1-406-...-.... and she says its incomplete. how does she call me?

Try a LADATEL card. They have pretty good rates.

You can also go through an AT&T operator. More expensive.

I live in the border so I know about this.
* From Mexico to U.S.A. is 001- (area code)- (phone number)
* From U.S.A. to Mexico is 011-52- (code of city)- (phone number)
(52 is code of Mexico)
If you are trying to call a Mexican cellphone
then it is 011-52- 1 (cell phone number)
you have to dial 1 first.

As an advise tell her to buy a long distance card, you can get lots of minutes on some.

this could be very costly except you employ Skype via a workstation which may well be well worth it in case you're long gone for a protracted era yet no longer on a a million week holiday. purchase a telephone card in Mexico.
