Hi !
Bites, bites. Vas is das Bites.
Ah bytes.I see.
It goes :
k - Kilo = 1000 or 10*3 bytes
M - Mega = 1,000,000 bytes, or 10*6
G - Giga = 1000,000,000 bytes, or 10*9
T - Tera = 1000,000,000,000 bytes or 10*12
I have a Terabyte hard drive at work, which is scary.
Oh a byte is two bits, so this full stop "." occupys 8 bits.
Two bits to a byte
I think it is binary 10010101.
Don't get into hexadecimal. That is a worrynng place to be.
What is 3F+9A. ?
I'm out of here !

1024 Mega in a giga.
1024 is used because computers count in binary and 11111111 is 1023, adding 0 gives 1024 different values

It's 1,073,741,824 bytes that make a gigabyte to be precise. It is rounded to 1024. A more common phrase in the next year or 2 will be Terabyte which is 1000Gb or 1,099,511,627,776 to be exact
