I recently saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and I thought it needed more of an ending. I like the first one better. Which one do you think was better and why.

personally, i liked the first one better. . .but the second one was really good, too (it ended like that because they are making a third movie). but the second one had a lot more things where you'd have to pay close attention to to understand. i just watched the first one again this morning (for like the 8265237573 time. lolol) i just love that movie. its my fav. of all time!!!!!! funny though, i was thinking about that question while i was watching it. i can't really put my finger on why i like it better! but i think it's because the first one is not a dark as the second one and there's a lot more johnny depp ;) the second one was kind of confusing, but like i said before, there are a lot more things to notice. but i'm totally excited for the 3rd movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

It is a classical trilogy. The first one is good, but it is a movie to show us all the characters and the relationships. The second one is an open ended one where you only see all the problems brewing, and the third one will be the resolution of everything. Usually, the second one is kind of maddening because there is no end to it, but in the long run, it is usually the best one of the three.

the originals are usually better than the sequals, id have to say because if the first movie was good, it'll make you want to see the second one. i cant wait for pirates of the caribbean 3 though =D

The first is always the best; it's what makes you see the second. This holds true to all of the the trilogies except the second Star Wars trilogy and Lord of the Rings in which the last was the best.

I just saw the 2nd one also. I liked them both. I liked that this last one had a good cliffhanger ending, but at the same time it makes me long for the next one (which I suppose is what it's supposed to do.) Johnny Depp is just such an amazing actor, I could watch him in anything!

I have only seen the second one,and I thought it sucked big time. So I have need to even see the first one,cause I sure couldn't of been that much better.So I say neither.

I liked the 1st one better because there wasn't such a hint to having a 2ND one. everyone was so surprised that there was a 2ND one coming out! At the end of the 2nd one however it was total denouement and it was obvious there is going to be a 3rd one.

That is the problem with a swing film ( the middle film of a trilogy) it cannot resolve the story, only push it forward.
It was interesting, but "At World's End" will be fabulous

I like both of them, but the second one had a cliffhanger ending.
Too bad we have to wait until Memorial Day to pick it up again.

The first movie of trilogys are almost always better...but i like both of them and i cant wait till the third one comes out!!
