more info is needed, what is the processor type intel or amd? what is the operating system XP or Vista?

I would say that is a very good price for brand new - congrats! Should be a Great Laptop for regular use. Gateway support is horrible though.

Sure!!! That's a pretty decent price. Refurbished one's usually go for about $500. If you need it for basic tasks and internet access, then you should be happy with your buy.
