Things will get a great deal worse before they get any better.

For example. The glaciers on Greenland are melting at triple the rate scientists had estimated before actually measuring them. Within the next few years there will be no glaciers in Africa at all. Glaciers all around the world are melting as are the polar ice caps.

This is not new news. What you have been experiencing is denial by the ruling elite. They don't want to change their policies because that would imply a shift in power. They are perfectly happy for me, you, and others to die, but don't rock their boat, baby.

Global warming, or global climate change, is driven by the additional greenhouse gases that man has put into the atmosphere, primarily carbon dioxide, the largest component of burned petroleum fuel.

These "greenhouse" gases allow sunlight to pass through them but then block the resulting heat radiating from the earth, acting like a greenhouse, or a solar oven if you prefer.

This additional heat energy gets absorbed into the water cycle, and makes storms more violent and rains heavier. It also raises the sea level, swamping low-lying places like Tuvalu, a small island in the Pacific Ocean.

The Pacific Northwest is being hammered by a series of huge storm years. The Gulf Coast was hammered by a series of huge hurricanes. Even in my area, south Alabama (not known for aggressive, reality-based thinking), the NRCS is having to revise their equations for rainfall intensity to accomodate the changing reality.

The only good part is that things will deteriorate slowly, and the phenomenon is not well understood. We don't know if there is some currently unknown quality of the atmosphere at will limit the temperature increase. Perhaps the increased cloud cover that results from a more energized water cycle will mitigate the temperature rise. Maybe. No one knows for sure. What we do know without a doubt is that it is getting worse and will continue to get worse for a long, long time.

Global warming is real. Global warming is here. And our government, or rather the ruling class who own our government, are in deep denial about global warming. Expect it to get a great deal worse before they do anything at all.

Global warming is a hot environmental topic. There is little debate that the average global temperatures are on the rise. However there is a lot of debate on the mechanism for the temperature increase. Basically is it human induced or is it a natural cycle of the planet earth. Earth has been on cycles for the last 2.5 million years and the current temperature are approximately the same as it was 125,000 years ago. Earth began to warm up about 18,000 years ago, this marks the beginning of the end of the last ice age. Since then the temperatures have been on the rise, the temperatures that we see today are well with in the norms of what we have seen throughout the history of the planet. However, no one really know what kind of enhancement that burning fossil fuels can have on the environment. It is unknown by scientists, Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" does not show Global Warming on an even playing field. There is NO scientific evidence to claim that global warming causes more severe weather (ex. hurricanes), more research has to be done to have any scientific thought in this idea. Global Warming is something that has been proven real. It's harms us when green house gases enter the atmosphere and enter a thermal blanket. The Green houses gasses add to the thermal blanket making it thicker. The thermal blanket captures heat produced from the sun's rays and uses it to warm the planet. But more green houses gases added to it, the more heat is trapped. This can cause over heating it some regions. Over heating poses a huge threat to the polar regions with the polar ice caps. The extra heat is too much for the polar ice caps and causes them to melt. The water produced from the melted ice caps results to rising sea levels. In time, many low lying lands will be submerge. The Heat also causes waters to warm making it easier for diseases like malaria to spread to larger regions. It can also cause stronger and more hazardous hurricanes to occurs. So Global Warming Harms That Planet and Humanity. This is scary, very scary. It's unfortunate that the youth of the world will have such a huge problem to face, but it can be stop if we slow down our release of green house gases and burning of fossil fuels, global warming can be slowed down. But don't get me wrong, Global Warming isn't all bad. We need global warming to warm th planet, or else we'll face another ice age.
In conclusion: Global Warming is a mixed bag of both good and bad.

international warming is getting further and added extreme... maximum ppl nonetheless forget approximately approximately it as they did no longer somewhat get tormented by it yet as a replace in basic terms those u . s . a . that have been given extra flood are affected yet quickly possibly the water will make up maximum of earth...it might desire to enable to a international disaster as there is way less land and lots of will lose properties, animals on the poles will die or lose their homestead too and species will improve into extinct, yet we cant do something to it or end it as this is taking place yet we are able to sluggish it down by ability of utilising environment friendly products yet i think of it is going to likely be a protracted time until the it impacts the great international and by ability of the time earth would desire to be already smash by ability of alternative issues like nuclear war or lack or organic supplies, international warming additionally reason dieases as pest can stay to tell the story extra suitable at warmer temperature and pest are service of dieases, so we would desire to consistently no longer take this be counted gently

It's scary. I can't believe people still think it's not real. Where I live we have not had a normal winter in about 4yrs. It will be in the 60's one day and snowing the next then right back to 60's. It's crazy. I miss snow.

We are stupid and will kill ourselves with greed.

It has become a political football to kick around and cause panic in the general public and generate votes. The "science" it is based on is usually "junk science". We haven't been collecting data long enough to be able to tell if there are normal warming and cooling cycles. We weren't around to cause the last ice age and we weren't around to cause the "global warming" that ended it!.

1. It was caused by an increase in greenhouse gases.
2. It was caused by an increase in solar radiation.
3. It was caused by an combination of both.

hot subject....when we cut trees more carbon monoxide stays in the atmosphere which in return retains heat more than oxygen and doesn't refract ultra violet rays as well, which then causes additional corruptions in plant, land/water animals, and geographical locations.to sum things up :a vicious cycle..to many people not enough sense

Remember the book 1984? "War is peace, freedom is slavery, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH." Guess what, it's more real than you think.

Many people today are ignorant about the facts of global warming, and I believe that their ignorance is going to come back to haunt us.
