Despite what you may hear from "christians" Condoms DO protect to varying degrees against HIV, HPV, Genital Warts, many other STDs and Pregnancy.
Christians will say "they dont protect against HIV/AIDS because the virus is so small it passes through the micro holes in the latex, they are not 100% effective against pregnancy, and they certainly wont protect you from the emotional trauma of getting a woman pregnant."
While the virus is small they do not pass through the latex, they are almost 99% effective against pregnancy (which is better than "dry humping" because... well lets just say clothes are more permiable than latex and leave it at that), and as for the last "trauma" argument YES they will protect from that 99% of the time.

If latex, and properly fitted, they are good for preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases with upward of 95% reliability. In your case though, since you didn't know this, use them as balloons. Don't have sex.

You use them to avoid STDs and unwanted pregnancies. You can also use them to cover the muzzles of firearms so as to avoid dirt getting inside the barrel.

Fill them with water and throw them at the neighbors dog when he keeps barking. If you run out of balloons, they are a great substitute.
