Some people genetically have dark circles under their eyes if that's the case with you, you are going to have to use makeup to fix. It starts with moisturizer at night while you sleep. In the a.m. use under eye concealer before applying foundation. Another good trick is to use white eyeliner on the lower lid as it make eyes open up and appear larger.

First get more sleep.
You need to use make up that is the same shade as your skin you won't look white. Depending on your coloring a yellow base concealer seems to work. If you are darker complected a green base works well, NOT green, but green undertones. Mac's concealer is # 1 , then Bobbie brown, then believe it or not Mary Kay is 3rd (and only $14.)Never tug at the skin under your eyes, gently dab with your ring finger, (it is the weakest finger)
If you follow with a light foundation to blend it all in you should be OK.
I've heard that Vitamin K is good for dark circles. But I'm not sure how much is healthy and unhealthy,

Well,
I've heard that keeping a metal spoon in the freezer and placing it on the bags under your eyes really helps, but frankly I've never tried.
You can also try some liquid luminizer or ILLUMINATING tinted moisturizer. Buy the good quality stuff, like Stila (which you can get at Sephora). I use it and it works. The reason your makeup didn't work was probably because it wasn't high quality. Trust me, spending money on your face is definitely a worthy investment. If you have to splurge anywhere, that's where you should do it.
Best of luck from someone who's had the same problem for her entire life!

Here are a couple of ideas: Wear pale pink by your face. It is a universally flattering color that tends to make skin look rosey as opposed to dull and pale. As for the dark circles, try a color correcting stick in a yellow-ish color. Yellow is opposite of purple on a color wheel, so the yellow tones balance out your purple undereye circles. The puffiness is a different story, however. You could try patting Preparation H there before you put your makeup on - I understand a lot of models do this as it is supposed to shrink the blood vessels that bring fluid to the area. I'm not sure how well it works in real life, though. Anyway, hope this helps!

First, get a concealer that is a shade lighter than your skintone, because that part of your skin is darker, so you want something to contrast that. Apply the lighter concealer to cover up the dark circles. Then, apply the right colored foundation/powder, whatever you use, to you whole face, including where you put the concealer and over your entire eye. Then, use a white shadow and apply it just at the inner corners of the eye to brighten them up!
Good luck!

if it's just ur eyes then you can just use grean tea bags and lay them on your eyes for 10-20 minutes or if it's ur face use a skin brightening cleanser, and try to get in as much sleep as you can and maybe try some caffinated drinks because no matter how much you cover up the dullness/dark circles if u feel tired ur going to look tired

OMG i had the same problem. firstly, CUT THE CAFFEINE!! tht means chocolate, sodas, coffee, cocoa, etc. second, make sure you get enough sleep. teens need about 9-10 hours. adults need 8-9. go to sleep when u get tired!!! also, if you roll around a lot in your sleep, maybe its time for a softer mattress. when you get up, allow yourself enough time for a quick workout and balanced breakfast, it will boost your perkiness. as for make-up, try bare minerals. it works as a quick cover-up to hide the last traces of black circles, or as a last resort.

first off...the makeup that you're using probably doesnt match your skin tone...so thats why it makes them look really white. try a shade darker? ask a makeup specialist that is around!
also...you could try putting cold cucumbers on your eyes
or even just a cold pack on your eyes for like 5 minutes in the morning. even wash your face with cold water in the mornings.

Genetics can be one possibility for dark circles. Allergies is another possibility. May be worth exploring.
