In my opinion, they shouldn't!
It is a lie and doesn't have anything about Christmas, the commemoration of the birth of Jesus!
It is a commercial idea, in order to sell toys!
But... Most of them just love it!
I remember when I discovered that S. C. was my daddy and my mommy! It was a great disappointment.

It's a harmless culteral myth whose purpose is to give young children joy. There's no reason why your children SHOULD believe in Santa Clause if you'd rather them not, but the real question is, why shouldn't they believe in Santa Clause for the brief time when they can?

There are actually many reasons, The first is that santa claus is a religious symbol used to symbolize Christ. The second is that it is very healthy to have children believe in something and then later in life discover that it was never real. This teaches them to not believe everything they ever are told. The third, is that it is just plain fun. I am sure there are other reasons, but there is a start

Thats not true. Why rush your kids to grow up. Let them be children. Dont you remember believing in Santa. Its a part of childhood. Let the Santa tradition keep on living. If we as parents dont there wont be no more santa and what the fun in that.

it about the magic of season not about believe in santa . i think it a parents chioce what they want tthey children to believe

To give them something to work for all year. If they are good they will be on the "Nice List" Also so they have something to look forward to around Christmas time.

Its a nice fantasy, that help our kids grow up into nice little capatilists, wanting more and more rubbish... We keep industury alive by teaching our kids the same silly habits that we have..

Because it gives them an ilusion,its fun and it makes christmas a little bit more interesting you should always belive even though you dont see
