No. Iran won't try to nuke Israel and a pre-emptive nuclear strike by Israel would cost them far too much internationally. Israel has about 200 nukes, Iran, if any, one or two (Iran says its a nuclear power but that doesn't mean its true.). Israel has the means to deliver them; Iran might hit Syria if a missile were aimed at Israel. The side effects would effect every country in the region and neither country wants any more angry neighbors. Both governments have proven to be rational in their decisions despite the blabbering and sword rattling.

Israel wont nuke Iran unless Iran strikes first. Iran probably wouldnt dare because they know it would mean their end as well.
But....the problem is with more and more nations getting the nuclear bomb eventually one country will get ahold of the bomb that is not so stable. A country with leaders who feel they have nothing to lose, or see it as a sign from their "God" that usning the nuclear bomb will bring the Armageddon on the infidels. Eventually the bomb will fall into the wrong hands. We are not talking about America and the old USSR, for the most part both sides had the sense at the time to know that a war between the two would end up in total destruction of the planet. What the danger is here is with a smaller nation who feels it has nothing to lose striking out against its enemies, taking out one or two other countries.
And then there is the terrorism part. A rogue nation passing off a bomb to terrorists to do their dirty work for them. I wont even get into that one.

Fear, Fear, Fear. Is that all you people know? Why would Israel nuke Iran? If Iran has nukes, then great, it is a stalemate and conventional methods will have to be used. What a bunch of of Chicken Little's... Did the USSR nuke the US at the height of the cold war? No, and neither will Israel or Iran. Think about it people, if your neighbour has a nuke, wouldn't you want one to counteract theirs? Nukes are scary enough but some of you responders are way out there. Get a grip, stop listening to the rhetoric spewing from the mouths of people who really aren't thinking. Just because you have a nuke doesn't mean you will use it. In the entire history of the world, 2 nukes were detonated, EVER, Look out, the sky is falling....

Israel will definitely not use a nuclear weapon in that region for fear of retaliation. What they have opted to do is the same thing they did right before the 7 day war. They will use their F-16's to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities. Their planes have a max range of 1400-1600 miles. Last time they put extra fuel tanks on,but they only had 1 structure to hit. Iran's facilities are spread throughout the country. So now their only option is in-flight refueling. They are currently upgrading their in-flight refueling capabilities without that their fighters wouldn't have enough fuel to return after spending time on target. i think they have a plan and working towards the means to execute it.

That nut job Iranian President keeps making threats of wiping out Israel. Some countries would take that as a declaration of war. That makes Iran a fair target for Israel. Iranians need to take out that loon before he keeps pissing off nuclear-armed neighboring states.

Somebody is gonna nuke someone sometime soon. Its bound to happen. People have forgotten what a horrible weapon the nuclear bomb is. Maybe somebody needs to lob a few here or there to wake mankind up and remind us of what we are dealing with here. Radiation, fallout, longterm effects. You dont want to set a large nuke off in your neighbors yard, if you do chances are you will get some of it as well.

If it comes to that, yes. But I think Israel will take out Iran's nukes like she did to Iraq in 1982.
Amir: You complain that Israel isn't a country because she fought the "Palestinians." Tell me, when was there ever a country called "Palestine"?

I agree with Amir. Israel's right to exist, at the expense of the Palestinians, is simply unjustified. In that sense, Israel needs to defend itself; because it knows Iran will exploit that fact.
