I totally agree that the Monarchy should be disbanded and abolished as it is nothing but a financial draw on "it's" subjects, and they give nothing in return, except scandal lately. Speaking of Charles, what a buffoon, he had this beautiful wife, Diana, and he was sneaking off to be with that old leather boot, Camilla!!! EWWWW!!!!

While the monarchy is still in place, the UK will always have a class system. It not like the USA where everyone is treated equal regardless of their backgrounds. But sadly in the UK it all to do with old school ties, what school you went to etc. Most Brits will use this argument that they bring in tourist. I don't think anyone visit the UK because it has a monarchy. That like saying I won't visit Greece because the military threw them out in the 70s, as for charities losing money because they don’t have a royal as head of it is pure rubbish. These charities depend on the general public to give donations not the royals themselves.

Eventually it will die out, and if Charlies isn't doing his proper duty as a king the people might try to do something that would strip him of his rank or the government would officailly take over.

This isn't really an answer to your question but, I've always been rather fond of the scenario where, on her death bed, the Queen has Charles poisoned so that the title is handed down to William...Not that you particuraly care or anything, but I think it's a nice solution to the problem.

The british crown is only a figurehead - a symbol to unify the Brits. Kind like what the flag is for the US, except the British symbol is alive.

I think sentimentality for the queen is the only thing keeping it alive. When she goes I think it will slowely die. It's an out dated concept.
