would really screw everything up because at the moment most continental competitions like the european championships are 4 years as well and their a two year gap between them and a year qualifying before each. as in Qualify, tournament ,qualify tournament. if it went to three it would all get very tight and wouldnt make it as big a deal, plust the numbers would get all odd! and it would overlap with the Rugby World Cup and the European Championships after a few years

exciting question. i assume Jose Mourinho's remark in regards to the CL being larger than the WC triggered this question. i think of maximum folk will believe me that no opposition will ever be larger than the international cup. the international cup has a ingredient of national status related to it that the CL in no way will. additionally, there is the historic previous of the WC through fact the main acceptable footballing experience interior the international for almost 80 years. apart from, no soccer club has a fan base as vast through fact the national communities do, through fact there are too many golf equipment among which followers are divided. So final analysis, no the CL won't in any respect surpass the WC.
