Because we have all been brainwashed by the advertising campaigns that tell us to have a perfect christmas we need this or that...
Plus whenever we have a bank holiday everybody seems to stock up on food and drink incase they run out before the shops open again

well its simple people come to eat at your place and the shops are closed on Christmas day and boxing day. So we leave nothing to chance. We all want fresh food so the last two days are best

I didn't. Did my normal shopping on Tuesday....... well normal plus alcohol! People swarm the supermarkets every year before Christmas. Whatever did they do when shops used to be closed on a Sunday??

Might be an age thing............being a wrinkly I remember when the grocery shops where closed for much longer than two days.

cause its tradition and we all enjoy the hustle and bustle of xmas. WE deny this tradition but we wouldnt do it if we didnt enjoy it!
