what are some of the best horror movies,,,they have to be newish,,,and some of them have to be scary,,,really scary,,,but mi bff gets scared easily so put in a couple of good horror movies that wont scare the s*** out of her!!! thankyou

Are you looking for scary only, or scary and fun, or action horror? Is plot important to you?
It's hard to tell what you're looking for, but if you just want a scary good time, check out anything from Dark Castle productions. They did the remakes of House on Haunted Hill and Thirteen Ghosts, and the movies Ghost Ship and Gothika.
Another really fun action/humor/horror movie is Deep Rising.
Avoid the pointless, plotless crap that seems to be so popular, like the Saw series or I Know What You Did Last Summer. The Grudge was pleasantly creepy, though.
Also, I liked Silent Hill, although it seems to be one of those you either like it or hate it no middle ground films...

The White Noise is the only movie that has ever scared the crap outta me, and because of that I didn't go see Pulse which I think would be freakier.

The Hills Have Eyes is really scarry, but it also has a lot of gore in it.
I saw the unrated version, and I wish I hadn't seen it.
