I've just upgraded to a new faster PC, I installed iTunes and then I copied all the AAC files from the my music\iTunes folder on my old PC to the same folder on my new PC.

However my iPod will not sync on my new PC, when i plug it in and try to sync it says it wants to format my ipod for use with my PC and this will wipe it clean. My ipod hasf 19 gigs worth of songs on it and I don't really want to copy them all over again, is there any way round this?

Both PCs are Windows XP machines so there shouldn't be any file system compatibility issues like there is from Mac to windows.

You need to plug your ipod into your old computer and change the settings on it. Change it to manually update songs. You'll see it when you click on your ipod on the sidebar and on the main page. It's one of the boxes that you should check off. Good luck!
