i can see the other person fine. they can see me. according to my pc i have installed the built in mike. i have speakers and they work fine, and so do the other persons. i cant hear them and they cant hear me! what do i need to do????? we both have the same version of yahoo messenger installed. all the check boxes that it has told me to check are checked. i really dont know what to do, all help desks are closed now until wednesday at the earliest.

i have a mikomi webcam also and i found poeple could not hear me with the built in mike, I installed a desk mike and everything is fine now, have you been to your messenger preferences and made sure the settings for your mike and speakers are all ok? I hope this helps you

Proberbly somthing to do with your sound card, make sure you have connected it to the right socket on your sound input, usally pink for microphones unless it does it all via USB. If thats not the problem maby you have mute or low volume on. Click your start button then control panel the find the icon called sounds and auido devices and somewere on there you will find volume settings. Hope this helps :) i know how annoy it is when you buy somthing and you cant get it to work

mmmmm not to sure bout this one, but if you hav got any other mic plugged in still, then the built in mic wont work, so first check that you have unplugged your old mic

Do you need to press and hold a key to talk on yahoo???

You probably don't have enough USB bandwidth. You can try disconnecting it then switching off the computer and then reconnect it after you switch it on. Or just disconnect some USB devices.
