Yes.
If you train someone to kill and then wonder why they kill, you are a moron.

Not Ironic at ALL... if the allegations and charges are TRUE, those Marines committed murder. If the killed non-combatants with INTENT... they are guilty of MURDER !!
ALL Military members are instructed on the Uniform Military Code of Justice, the Code of Conduct, and the Geneva Conventions within 14 days of their entry to the service... and after 6 months of service and upon reenlistment (US Code TITLE 10 > Subtitle A > PART II > CHAPTER 47 > SUBCHAPTER XI > § 937. Art. 137. Articles to be explained)
§ 918. Art. 118. Murder - Any person subject to this chapter who, without justification or excuse, unlawfully kills a human being, when he—
(1) has a premeditated design to kill;
(2) intends to kill or inflict great bodily harm;
(3) is engaged in an act which is inherently dangerous to another and evinces a wanton disregard of human life; or
(4) is engaged in the perpetration or attempted perpetration of burglary, sodomy, rape, robbery, or aggravated arson;
is guilty of murder, and shall suffer such punishment as a court-martial may direct, except that if found guilty under clause (1) or (4), he shall suffer death or imprisonment for life as a court-martial may direct.

For Real !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason combat pilots don't get charged is because they can't control the weathers effect on ordinance ( but they can make a bomb hit the head of a pin in your pocket ). There's an old saying, " All's fair in love and war " . What I want to know is, why is this country always trying to play by some rediculous set of rules that only WE play by? There's a big uproar about the way we treat our prisoners. How about if we just video tape cutting their heads off with a knife ? Maybe then the "BAD" guys would see we can play by their rules too.

There is a difference between combat and killing innocent civilians. I can understand that these guys were pretty upset and were driven over the edge, however if found guilty, what they did was wrong. They've also been accused of lying, so they knew what they were doing. This same kind of thing happened in Vietnam. Ever heard of MyLai?

Combat is one thing. It involves protecting yourself and your country against an adversary. Murder is the intentional, senseless killing of another.
Some may say that it's semantics, but we don't charge all of our soldiers with murder when they come home from war, do we?

Uh...no? What they did was illegal under all the rules of war and the UCMJ.
Just because you "train someone to kill" doesn't give that person justification to massacre others. Marines and Army infantry are likes dogs on a leash, you're only to suppose to order them to kill when needed.

no, it makes perfect sense. these people are trained to remain calm in situations, they completely lost it and went on a rampage. i read that they went around kicking in doors of houses and shooting families in their living rooms. uuhhh...is that war? who's the terrorist in that situation?
and all because one of their men was killed in actual combat.
you see? i find that reduculous. some people obviously shouldn't have a gun in their posession.
