as i said i cant seem to get live cctv in my area is it all contrload by local polis or the counsil if so can somebody tell me how to view it thank u very much merry xmas

I think the only way you can see Closed Circuit TV is to have a physical connection to what you want to view.
Second best is to see if there is a web camera.

CCTV stands for CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION this means that there is no signal to pick up with an aerial like regular tv the signal is sent down a fibre (cable) within a network put in via local authorities.
you can only access these images if you are in their operations room or have it fed to your house which is not going to happen. these images are used by police to solve crimes and you can view footage of yourself if a crime is committed eg you are mugged then you can see that footage with the police to help identify the assailant. but it is not for home viewing

You can normally get traffic cctv - try BBC travel.

i dont think u will be able to strick security on thosed cctv

why would you want to view it? i do not think that you could as it would be an invasion of privacy
