Don't listen to doctors and their odds... I was told that my son for sure (amnio supposedly confirmed it) that my NOW 10 MONTH OLD was going to die @ birth because of trisomy-18.
Now, I would certainly be careful just because of the spotting.. no heavy lifting, no on your feet more than you have to and get help from as many people as you can.. but doctors are not accurate all the time. Since my experience I have learned of MANY people being told falsely they have serious issues with their pregnancy....
Of course I would be extra cautious with this pregnancy, get your mom, your sisters, mother in law, friends, people from church.. neighbors, any one and everyone to help you out as much as possible because you never want to take a chance with a babies life... but don't fret over it. My pregnancy we H E double hockey sticks because I thought I was going to lose my baby... supposedly for sure, with 0% chance @ life. The missing chromosome was supposed to be incompatible with life.. Well my son is perfectly normal.. he is not missing anything. He is not delayed.. not physical or mental defects.. nothing! All that worry over nothing... but too much worry and stress can cause problems.. so please leave God in control.. Pray and trust in him!
Good luck hon!

Most miscarriages happen in first trimester.
If you are spotting and carrying low in uterus, then the embryo isn't planted as high up and secure.
Don't do any hard exercise.
See your OB after jan 1.
if your spotting gets worse or painful cramps....
worst case okay? GO STRAIGHT TO ER.
I wish you the best of luck.
If the worst case happens.
you can have another preg.
you may be on bed rest with this one. good luck!

You can spot and not have a chance of losing your baby. Sometimes through your first trimester your body is not used to you being pregnant and you can spot. IF I were you I would get a second opinion on the doctors advice.I would not worry about unless your doctor says there is a chance. Good Luck

It depends on whether or not the placenta and sac are able to form as they ought to.
Honestly I think he gave you some pretty unfair odds.
Just stay relaxed and do your best to focus on having a healthy baby. Take everything one day at a time. You cant make something change by worrying about it.
I'd call some other doctors and get different opinions.

Find an Obstetritician, they know a heck of a lot more about these types of things. If the doc gave you those chances, maybe he knows more to the story?? Try to relax, stress and worry do not work for a healthy pregnancy
