Most likely the thermocouple has gone bad. This is what senses whether the pilot light is lit or not, and as long as it sense the pilot is running, it will allow the regulator to send gas to the burner. If it's not working, the regulator will keep shutting off the gas.
Your problem could be the regulator, which should be covered under your warranty. The thermocouple is the much easier (and much lower cost) fix. I've changed them, and they aren't hard to do.

if all else fails, chk the smoke stack, you can't have anymore than 2 45 degree angles in the stack making a 180 straight up.
the heaters have a builtin default in them that put out the flame and stop the gas from flowing thru the gas box.
correct that or go to the thermal coupler at the tip for the flame touch.
your thermostat must be level and all wires secure and wired correctly in the wall box as well as in the heaters box.

It's the Thermal-coupler. You can get one at Home Depot or Lowes, or even the local hardware store. Installation is easy. If you call a service tech, they will charge you way too much and only be there for 10 minutes.

Since there is no thermocoupler here just a regulator it has to be the has regulator. Unless there's a short in the ignition and before it's lit the short cuts it out.

If it is less than a year old, it is still under warranty. Call a service tech. You will have to pay for the service call though. But not for the part.
