If you are getting excessive hair growth, it could be a sign of hirutism, which in itself CAN be an indication of other health issues, including thyroid or adrenal gland problems. If that's the case, I would get it checked out by a doctor (have blood work done).

In addition to creams, there are laser therapies, waxing and electrolysis. All of these can have their own side effects, so you may have to try a couple in order to find out what works best for your skin.

Your skin irritation could also be caused by the way you are shaving. Make sure you are using a sharp, clean razor and that skin has already been softened up (Right after a shower is a good time to shave). Shave with the grain of the hair first; you may also need to use a small bit of shaving cream. After shaving, rince the area again with lukewarm water and immediately apply a moisturizer to the area.

Electrolysis or laser hair removal might be your answer.
It would be permanent removal. But check out the credentials of the operator before having it done.

I have just started using this: http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/skin-care/eflora.html
It says it takes 4 weeks to see a difference. If I were you, I would try this but continue shaving until you see if it works.

You could use Nair or you could get it waxed off. That would last longer.
