Good question. I guess it depends on what your definition of Utopia is. If you mean a place where you would always feel and be content, then I would not give up my life or any years of my life for such a brain dead place. If you are constantly content, what do you have to look forward to. Nothing. That would leave me feeling empty and depressed. So, not thank you magic man.
If however, you mean a place where I would gain knowledge in one year, that otherwise would take me 30 years to find out and where I would learn the meaning of life's great mysteries, then I would say I would be willing to give up one hour.

Not one. Pain is what makes you know when you are happy. You need to have a balance-Its what makes life the way it is-great. I learn from every hard time-and in return-I am blessed with finding happiness later.
A utopia is like being sedated for a year-you dont get to experience the range of emotions that is being human-who wants that? Not me.

That depends on how many years I'm going to live? If I was going to live to be 100, I'd gladly give up one year of life for every year of utopia. I'd like it from 60 to 80yrs old. On the other hand if I was only going to live to be 50, I probably wouldn't want to give up any years.

None, because Utopia isn't worth it. If you have that, then you will not be happy when you return to the real life. I'd rather be happy with what I'm given, than have something false to compare it to.
