I guess this is a vote more than an answer then?
I say 'Table Tennis'. Why?
I love most sports, especially football. But I'm a great fan of comedy too and if anything can make me laugh, it becomes my favourite.
When I watch Table Tennis on the television, I always seem to laugh out loud at the players. They are so talented people who do incredible things with this little white ball. It's so incredible, it's funny! I love the way one guy whacks it so hard and the other guy runs backwards until he's nearly in another country to reach the ball and returns it onto the table. The other guy sees the return and puts his cup of tea down and newspaper and whacks it again. Then he looks bored as he has to wait for the other guy to return it again - which he does!
I love this so much! It's pretty amazing!

Gawd, I have quite a few absolute favorite sports, but if I have to pick only one, I'll go for professional cycling on the road!
Several reasons :
-It's a sport that will continue whatever the weather is like, except if conditions are SO bad that there is actual danger for the riders. (very severe fog in the mountains, severe snowfall, conditions like those)
The official cycling-season starts in February already, and continues until well in September.
-Apart from riding the Classics, the one-day contests, so to speak, they also ride two, and not rarely three big "Tours", which last three weeks at the time. ("Tour de France", the "Giro", Tour of Spain", and then there are several Tours which last shorter, like the Tour of Zwitserland")
-The racers are often involved in bad falls. (don't know how else to explain in English....it's when like 10 or more riders fall at the same time)
But 95.5% of them will get back on their race-bike right away and continue the race, however bad their injuries may look.
No whining, just get back on that bike....I like and admire that.
-I like the tactics of the "game"......even tho I liked it much better when the cyclists didn't have ear-phones in, through which they get updated by their team-leader, their coach, of what is happening in the course......in the "old" days the racers had to keep track themselves of who escaped, and of what was going on in front and behind them. If you didn't pay attention all the time, it could cost you first place. (now their teamleaders are able to warn their racers what is going on, and what action they need to take.....not nearly as much fun as the time when the riders had to take their own decisions)
