The Palm Treo 600 came with the Palm OS, the 700wx that replaced it has Windows OS, how can I get similar Desktop Software now?

Where can I get software for the Palm Treo 700wx (windows os) that I have just purchased? The Palm sync software is not compatible and my PC and Treo device. I can not exchange calender/apointments and address, with my hand held.

You can't. You have to get Active Sync from microsoft.com. However, the Treo 700p is the same.

Correct, the Operating System on both systems are different. I assume you must have recived the Software CD along the device. You can use that to install the software and SYnc the data from the device to the computer and VIce Versa.

You can download the Active Sync software from Microsoft website. You can also download the software from the Palm website: http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/activesync.html
