I don't find fat men appealing, and I didn't when I was obese either...so I'd rather slim down (for me) and hopefully he'll care enough about himself to want to keep in shape or correct it, if he should gain a few lbs as some of us (people) do...

I think that people get comfortable in a relationship. Me personally am dieting for 1) myself and my self esteem, and 2) I am afraid my husband will find me disgusting. Does he love me? yes, but I am not going to let myself go to hell or embarrass him. I want to be sexy and being fat doesn't cut it, nor is it healthy. If he tells me I am overweight it is because I am and I admit it. Do I want him heavier? NO WAY! That is certainly selfish and unhealthy

Seriously? I would think it depends on the woman, and her if motivations are entirely self serving or not. Or perhaps you think too much, and maybe she is just depressed and unmotivated to lose weight because she is married to...oh never mind.

(you asked a totally misogynistic question...that means unkind and unfair to women)

It is my nightmare to ever become fat! I take care of myself, follow a vegetable diet, exercise and avoid fat foods. It is a life style, for some women.

If I had a choice, I'd pick A.

You need to know, though, that being fat is not always a choice. There are underlying medical reasons, as happened with my daughter.
