Okay so my "bestfriend" moved in with me a few months ago and then her bf moved in, I knew they were talking about me behind my back but when i confronted them they would just deny it, So they decided to move out when i laid down that my house is not a nightly party house and i dont want drugs on my property especially with her having a baby and everything. NOT good! So they moved out, and owe me $900 in rent and babysitting money, i need that money too! I don't know what to do, i know where they live and work but my ex friend who i decided to cut all ties with isnt talking to me and her bf hasnt exactly come through either. A lot of there stuff is still in my house, they've been gone for 2 weeks, they have tons of outdoor stuff, clothes, tvs, stereo, a brand new car seat, and lots of other things that i would imagine nobody would want to leave behind. What do i do to get my cash and get their stuff out!?

Sell their stuff for the money they owe you.

I saw this exact same thing on one of those court TV shows. This is what the judge said; You can not sell things that don't belong to you. So don't sell their stuff. This is what you do, send them a letter telling them what they owe you, be fair and don't add more onto it than what you really need. You already know that they probably don't have the money. Make a copy of all letters you send them. Keep all of your records straight and in one place. Did they sign a lease? If they did not and it was a verbal agreement, it could be hard to get the money. Consider yourself lucky and that you are only out $900. Remember in the future to know exactly who you are going to room with and get them to sign the lease so they are legally responsible for their share of the rent. Get everything in writing with signatures and keep a file on everything. If you go to small claims court to get what is owed to you, the judge will not let you win the suit if you don't have things in writing and signed. Good luck.

Run an ad in the local paper that they have so long to get things they left behind and pay you what they owe. If they don't respond, sell it. When they do come to get it, you might bargain with them that if they want it, they will pay some of the 900.00 and if not, tell them that you will have to sell it to get your money.

Well, there's always Judge Joe Brown :)
Seriously, you need to take them to small claims court if they don't pay up. If you want their stuff outta there, leave them a message at work or home and give them a reasonable amount of time to recover it, or they could have a counterclaim against you.

I would use their stuff as collateral, and file in small claims court. It could get abit pricey, but is some caes, Ithink you can get them to pay your court costs also, You do need valid proof tht they were staying there and that they agreed to pay you rent.
Good luck, and if that doesn't work, sell their stuff, youcan get some money out of it.

Let the police know of the sitution and tell them that they left there belongs behind. The law is if people leave there stuff behind it's rightfully yours. When my brother moved he left so many things behind and I asked the police what to do. They told me if he never called and it was left that I was able to do with whatever I wanted to do with his stuff.

To start with, you need to conclude with the man you're with. He isn't right for you, through what you write. Speak to your nice friend. If he was once upset, then he need to have emotions for you. Don`t let it slip just considering that you don`t want to talk. Excellent good fortune.

in the start, you want to end with the guy you're with. he's not good for you, with the help of what you write. seek for suggestion from with your superb chum. If he replaced into disillusioned, then he must have thoughts for you. Don`t enable it slip basically because you don`t favor to communicate. good success.
