I'm 9 1/2 weeks pregnant, and scared to go to the doctor. I moved to this area a year ago when i got married and my doctor that i had my whole life is gone, and im scared to go to a new doctor. I'm also scared that i'll loose the baby cause of an shot i got accidently at work the other week, even though a doctor i talked to for advice said after 10 days and nothing happened it should be okay. But i'm still scared ill go in and the ultrasound will show a dead baby, and i dont want to go alone, and my husband is too busy with work to go with me. And our families dont know yet cause we dont want to tell them tell after a visit to the doctor to let us know everything is fine. How do i get over the fear of seeing the doctor?? Also when do people start showing?

Every women is different and some will show earlier or later than others but usually around 5 months people can notice a change in your weight. Your doctor probably was a great one but if you want this baby and care for your health and the baby's health...you should have been seen a doctor. If you really want to know how the baby is go to a doctor. Especially since you had a shot. I know it might be hard if you do see a dead baby on the ultrasound but you would of had a miscarriage if the baby was dead. You should should go with a friend you can trust. Now matter how your appointment goes you have to be sure your baby and your health is stable. Good luck

i think that you should just relax and go in they are so helpful and caring in pregnancy, you should go in soon if your 9 and half weeks you should be having a check up, make sure you and the baby are we'll, if you care about the welfare of you and your child you will go. You wont start showing till probably the 4th or 6th month and sometimes later all people are different you should be taking folic acid pills and then at 12-13 weeks you should be taking the prenantal vitamin so if i was you i would just go in dont be scared they will be really good to you. hope this helps you, if your husband cant go maybe a close friend could go with you. Good luck to you.

Well, if you're concerned about the health of your baby, you have to go to the doctor and get checked out, even if you're scared to. The fear is normal, but you want to make sure that your baby has the best possible start to life that you can give him or her, and that means going to the doctor and getting yourself checked out.

You're going to be a mother. You can't chicken out of things just because you don't want to do it. Pretty soon, you're going to have a baby depending on you for EVERYTHING.

Good luck!

all people show at different times.

and if you and your husband want this baby then you will have to get over the fear for the sake of your babys health. and if you told your husband that having him by your side while you care his and your baby would help you stop stressen out. being stressed while pg can cause your baby to have an elevated heart rate.

you seem like you care alot about the baby
dont worry youl be fine :)

It sounds like you're really scared. Maybe it'd be a good idea to go to the doctor with a friend. You NEED to get prenatal care - not just for you,but to help have a healthy baby.

Please don't be scared! The baby is probably fine! You might feel more comfortable with a woman doctor. Tell the doctor that you feel scared, and he/she might give you a pill to help your nerves. Tell the doctor your fears. I think that probably everyone feels afraid when pregnant. Praying for God to comfort you and give you peace!

How about asking around and getting referrals? I know what you mean about Drs. I was in the same boat with #2. And you just don't want to pick a name out of the book. As your neighbors, ask friends. I am sure everything willbe alright, but you need to go as soon as you can.

Every baby is a blessing. Go talk to a councilor at planned parenthood. They will be able to support you through your fears.
Good luck and I'm sure the baby is just fine.
