I'd like to make a homemade gift for my 23 year old sister because she's kindof a sentimental person, and I think that something homemade would be appreciated. Anyone have any ideas?

You could make her a pillow/ blanket of old baby cloths or get new fabrics. There is also this great stuff called photofabric which allows you to print picture right on cotton fabric. If you don't like to sew you could try making a collage of pictures of you guys growing up together. One thing that I really like to do is make jewelry for my sisters. It's easy and only takes an hour or two.

Well, it's limited by what you are able to do, and what she likes.
There are times when almost anyone appreciates a really good foot massage...but that's not something that can be sentimentally cherished.

1 Idea = = = get a small bottle, some mineral oil, a few of her favorite flowers, food coloring of her favorite color(s), and maybe even some essential oils of her favorite scents, combine them (flower petals) to make an 'infused oil bottle' (something pretty to look at while it's becoming perfume); or for that matter, essential oils of her favorite scents, + some rubbing alcohol in a bottle = homemade perfume.

I found a website that looks like it has a lot of great ideas. Here are some of the things they mention how to make:

Homemade Spa Set
Coffee Lover's Basket
No-Sew Fleece Blanket
Brownie/Cookie Jars
Scented Jelly Jars
Wine Serving Tray

Diffently a scrapbook

Take pictures from when you were babies, toddlers, teenagers etc and make it into a story in the scrapbook.

Make a picture calendar you can go to walmart with your fav pictures and choose which month you want them to be on and they will make a calendar for you.

But the scrapbook is the best, I did this for my mil for x-mas and she loved it last year she cried going through it< I also put poems in there.. I did one for my grandma for all the grandkids and she loved it as well.

What about a fleece throw? You could go to somewhere like Walmart, purchase about 1.5 yards of some fleece material, cut little strips of fabric on all sides and then tie the strips (still attached) into knots. It is very easy and you did it yourself. Happy Holidays!!
