No you do not. And of course, you can use both at the same time.
You can have both Firefox and IE in the same computer at the same time.
Either way, make sure your computer stays updated by going to the Windows Update site (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) site at least once a month.

no i use both. mozilla is safer but some things only work 4 internet explorer
