this happened to me and it hurt soooo bad. You should get checked to see if you have dialated any. the only other thing you can do is make yourself as comfortable as possible. Maybe put some pillows under your hips or butt to elevate. good luck with your delivery!

I have the exact problems with unborn son and I am due feb 1st. The scratching thing is freaky and I have that every once in a while. I have not been able to sleep all week because of the pelvic pressure. I bet your baby has dropped. I have a feeling that mine has too. its totally normal, but talk to your doctor about your discomfort, she may be able to suggest something to ease the pain. Good Luck!!

My guess is that the baby has dropped - probably with her head right on your cervix. I remember this feeling, every so often it just makes you stop in your tracks and shoots down your leg?? Just mention it to your dr. next time you see him/her (which from the sounds of things will be soon). It's nothing to be worried about, just another sign that things are moving along... quickly!
Good luck!
Oh, just read the other posts - I would distinguish this from Braxton Hicks - those are characterized by a tighting of the uterus/contraction of the muscles. Your pains are from the baby dropping and this is different. Not that it matters specifically, just a technicality. The good news is it all means you'll soon have a baby! :)

that is normal the pressure is probably because the baby dropped the sharp pain you are feeling is the babys head pressing on the pelvic floor sometimes its really annoying as it doesnt feel so nice, i asked my doctor cause i thought what the heck is that so its not labour it is the head pressing down. Good luck and congrats on your little precious one when you have it.

You seem to be having alot of problem due to all the questions that you have asked. Why not just call the doctor and ask them. Maybe he/she will want to see you or go to the ER. They will tell you either way what the problem is.

I think we are feeling exactly the same thing pm me on messenger (yahoo: Im_32_flavors_and_then_some) if you want. I was told it was possibly the baby dropping or my cervix stretching (the scratching feeling) and the pressure I felt that too they put me on bed rest.
