i have 4 about 2.5" tiger oscars. i just caught a small 1.5" crawdad from my crick. can i feed my oscars this crawdad? if so how do i do that?

if i do feed them the crawdad i don't want the crawdad to pinch the oscars :) would i have to pull them off?

I, personally, would not feed your oscars that crawdad...since it comes from a natural environment, you have no idea what is running through it's system...lots of pesticides and fertilizers often get into "cricks" and while the crawdad may have developed and immunity to it, your oscars might not be so lucky. It would be a shame to lose one that way.

Oscars are carnivores and in the wild I am sure there is something comparable to a crawdad (crayfish) in their environment. I think they should be able to handle a 1.5"er with no problem.

I wouldn't bother taking the pinchers off. I think the fish will do that themselves.

I wouldn't. That crawdad might have diseases. Ok, obviously you're from the south... he he.

Just don't do it...

just toss it in there they will take care of it
