I'm only 4 foot 11inches tall and a size 8. I am having terrible trouble finding jeans and trousers that are short enough to fit me. Kids/teens clothes are out as, although I'm 'slim' , I'm not 'skinny' and have bulgy bits due to two kids and am a tad old ,at 35, for the trendier gear! Plus, I am a single mum so cost is an issue too - they must be reasonably priced. Any ideas?

There are 2 options. First try the Gap they are a little more but thier ankle fit works for 5'0 me and if they cost too much watch for sales Gap.com you can sign up for email updates including sales. Second, try Old Navy,(cheap) or resale shops for nice jeans that are inexpensive but look nice on you and spend $25 bucks or so to get them hemmed by a tailor. Otherwise watch Banana Republic for major sales they do free alterations. Actually I am going to add a third. Go to a department store and look for sales in the petite dept., mainly in August and February. Also a good pair of jeans is a good investment so you might want to get 1-2 good pair of jeans instead of 3-4 so so jeans they are a staple for most moms. I live in mine. Dress pants look for Investments brand at major department stores in the petite section the are around $30 a pair but they have 2-3 different lengths of petite so you don't have to hem them and they wash great. From a 28 yr old mom of 1.

look in the petites department - don't worry, you don't have to be 85 lbs to shop there, it's just for a person with shorter stature. Also, many brands such as levi's make jeans sized short. Inthe US you can buy them for $35-$50 which to me is good for a pair of jeans that will last for years. I have some short stubby legs, big hips, and smallish waist. I found one pair that fits me right, measured it and take my measuring tape to the store and measure prospective buys so I don't have to try on 20 pairs and get discouraged.

ok, permit me initiate via saying you're no longer fat! And in case you lose any weight it must be detrimental on your well being. the undertaking which incorporate your denims isn't a weight difficulty, its a length vs. sizing difficulty. there's no standardization for garments sizing for this reason sizes may be very deceptive. once you're a pear shape then you relatively ought to easily ought to get length 10 denims and settle for it. regardless of each and every thing, whats incorrect with having length 10 outfits? many females may be envious of that on my own! the substantial element right this is to remember you're no longer fat, so do no longer take it to heart. you ought to agonize much less approximately sizes and seem at what shape you're and notice what is going to seem good. (Gok Wan might have some good suggestion). be satisfied on your guy or woman epidermis and smile. Sizes are ninety 9% rubbish besides! :D

Next is good. They've got a decent petite range and their clothes fit well. I'm only speaking for myself though. Other petite ranges include Dorothy Perkins, Topshop among others I can't think of at the moment. Good luck!
