I go barefoot everywhere, have for ten years. Summer and winter. I live in the Netherlands but I've also been on vacation to Belgium, Germany and Scotland without any trouble. I walk the street, go into stores, go on 10mile hikes, whatever. Sometimes there's glass on the street, especially in the larger cities, but when you go barefoot everywhere, all the time, you get thick callouses and I only get like one small splinter a year, even though I don't even walk around it when I see glass shards. Feet are a lot tougher than most people think, the only thing to remember is not to shuffle your feet 'cause that way you can easily get a cut from anything sharp embedded in the ground.

Every summer we do it..we live within walking distance from the sea and it is easier to walk bare foot down the street and across the dunes than to worry about where to leave your shoes when you get to the beach

Yes I would but very reluctantly. I did have to do it once due to stupidly wearing high heels on a night out. The coolness of the tarmac helped soothe my feet and ease the pain. Be aware of broken glass and other things of that nature.

I did once. I must have walked about five miles that day and I had a huge blister on my toe, so I took off my shoe to walk the last couple of blocks.

Yes I do it all the time. Did you know that there are no health codes against it, and it is NOT illegal to drive bare foot?

When we were kids, we always walked around barefoot in the warm weather.
