i would pay the bills if i were you. If the people you would want to buy gifts are close to you they should understand your on a very tight budget! plus if you REALLY want to do gifts maybe you could make them small...make some christmas cookies and do assorted cookies for their gifts or maybe if you have old pictures you could make or even buy a nice picture frame and give that to them or you could even just go to target and see what they have for super cheap, nothing big, just like a scarf or some gloves or a hat, keep it small but thoughtful. or even like a $5/10 starbucks card!?! but i would def pay your bills, you dont want to be in debt and have that hanging over your head for the next few months do you?! atleast if you dont get nice gifts it wont really hang over your head as long, you'll be able to make it up to them with a NICE birthday gift or something....

I've been in this situation more times than I care to remember..what I would suggest is that if you know you will have the money later, like after Christmas & before the 30 days is up, then go for it and get the gifts if you need them and celebrate the holidays...which by the way, I hope you do..that's my wish for everyone this Holiday Season....a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season filled with many special moments..

Pay the bare min or send $10 to the card to show your paying something and then take the rest and buy gifts.

i'd pay the bill. if the ppl you're buying for are really close, they'll understand why you can't buy gifts. besides, you can always buy them late gifts. good luck!

Christmas is the season of being broke. I would definitely go into debt and bye as many presents as I could. If you have to, you could always take back the presents you get to pay it off.
