Try taking it somewhere else before getting upset and make sure that you are wearing a short sleeved shirt. Those machines are not always accurate and sometimes the type of clothes you are wearing can make a difference in the reading. If it is still low you can always call the Dr's office. They always have someone on call.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

You could be getting preaclampsia or toxemia. I think thats how you spell it. When I was pregnant with my now 3 yr old. I had real high blood pressure and they induced me. But im not doctor but im sure they will wait until your are a little over 37 weeks. I had to go to the hospital for a bunch of tests. They hooked a ace bandage thing around my belly and I had to lay there for hours. Every time I felt the baby move I had a hand held device in my hand and everytime the baby moved I had to hit the button. When they did induce me I still had the blood pressure problems. What I believe it was, when I pushed my daughter out she had the cord wrapped around her neck but her arm was in it. I had a difficult birth they had to cut me and use suction and everything to get her out. I was due July 20th they induced me July 11th. I had her the 12th. Just be careful, they never put me on medication for it. I would ask about that.

A couple of things. My blood pressure gets real low too when I am pregnant. However, that is very low. I know my husband's doctor has told him that those bp machines are very inaccurate, not to use them. I have found them to be right on every time. You may just want to put a call into your doctors office. Even though they are already closed, they are still on call. It is far better to call them now than during the holiday weekend with a real emergancy. Good Luck!

That's really not all that low. Esp. if you've had high BP in a previous pregnancy. My OB said that the lower your blood pressure is the better it is for the baby. You do need to drink a lot of fluids hopefully that will bring it up some and alleviate the light-headedness.

This seems way too low. I can't imagine a doctor that leaves w/out having a back up. Don't wait around go to the emergency room!

get in contact with medical people by all means. try an urgent care (they handle all sorts of problems). call ahead so you don't have to wait forever. the reason i say that is here many older folks come for the winter and everything gets filled to the hilt. this sounds as though it could be serious so i would not wait for your doctor.

Having low BP and also light headiness could mean something really significant please go to your local ER or another Dr and have it check out. It could be anything that is why you need the testing done....it could possibly concern the baby you are caring and possibly miscarrying. You could also be dehydrated too. But non the less please go get yourself checked out.

that is REALLY low, like dangerously low, maybe pop into the hospital if your doc is gone and let them have a look at you there.
