To find out IP Address for Windows 95/98/ME:
1.. On the Windows task bar, click START >>> RUN
2.. In the OPEN Box, type winipcfg
3.. Click OK
4.. Select the network adapter that's connected to the internet from the drop down list. The IP Configuration windows shows the IP address for your Internet connection.
Windows NT WS/2000 ProXP:
1.. On the Windows task bar, click START >>> RUN
2.. In the OPEN box, type cmd
3.. Click OK
4.. At the command prompt , type ipconfig. The cmd window now shows the IP address for your internet connection.
for MacIntosh:
1.. From the Apple menu, click CONTROL PANELS >>> TCP/IP
The TCP/IP window shows the IP Address for your internet connection.
If your IP Address does not matche the IP Address reported by your computer, one of the following is probably the case.
Your computer is behind a firewallthat hides your IP address from computers on the internet. Connections to Web Sites are being cached by a proxy server. Proxy servers are used to reduce internet traffic and speed up Web browsing. An unfortunate side effect is that such servers also prevent direct connections to internet servers like a security scanner and therefore prevent the internal scanner from being able to scan your own computer.
I hope this will help u!

There are two ways. The easiest way is to go to http://www.whatismyip.com , a website that'll display your IP Address.
The slightly more difficult way is to hit start -- run, and in the run box type in "cmd" (without the quotes), and hit enter. Then you'll be in this screen called a Command Prompt. From there, type "ipconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter. It will display your IP Address as well as some other nifty information.
Cheers!

Yes, no problem:
1. Click start and hit run
2. Type cmd and hit enter
3. At the command prompt, type ipconfig and hit enter
4. If you are using a wireless connection, then look for the line that says ethernet adapter for wireless connection. Underneth it, look for the line that says ip address. If you are using an ethernet or wired connection, look for a line that says ethernet adapter for local area connection. Then look under it and find the line that says ip address.
5. When you are done, you can either hit the x at the command prompt window, or you can type exit and hit enter.
Hope this helps!

On Windows XP, it's easiest to do start->run, type in "cmd.exe" (without quotes) and hit enter. This will bring up a command window, then type
ipconfig
and press enter. This will display your local IP address.
