Most infants start walking anywhere between 10 and 15 months. Of course, that's just the average. Some walk sooner and some walk later.
They'll start to stand at around 9 or 10 months, but after that it's just a matter of them taking off!
When it comes to talking, most can say simple words like "Mama" or "Dada" by the time they are 10 months old.
They don't start saying phrases until they are around 18 months, and they don't start speaking in sentences until they are about 2 yrs. old.
Of course, like with walking there's always those babies that start saying words at 8 or 9 months, and then those that don't say a word until they're much older.

Every child is different. The earliest I've seen a child walk is 9 months and the latest was 15 months. Average is around one year of age. Talking? Babies can usually say words and know what they mean by 10 months old, but they can't say full sentences until they are over two. Your child will do thing on his or her own time. If you are worried about their developement I recommend what to expect the first year. It is an awesome book with month by month instructions.

about 10 months is earliest for walking, but babies develop at their own pace and can take up to 18 months before walking. I'm not sure about talking I know they can start to mock sounds early on and probably by 2 years can talk.

hear on your husband and techniques your individual employer... confident, it does look slightly strange that a 20 month old won't be able to stroll yet, yet all babies and teenagers are distinctive. (i substitute into walking and speaking at 10 months & the two one in each and every of my nephews have been on their ft by using 365 days, yet a pal of mine has a daughter who did no longer do the two until she substitute into 2 a million/2!.. and no, there is not any longer something incorrect with the little lady now.. she's 5 and in no way shuts up or sits down haha). it particularly is wonderful to be aggravating yet tread gently... what are you going to do? tell your sister/sister-in-regulation that her toddler is not on time? i'm specific by using fact the youngster's mom she is properly-known with that her toddler isn't assembly his milestones on time. the final subject she desires is somebody else pointing it out. Does her newborn choose for familiar surgeon's visits? i'm specific the toddler's pediatrician could say something if it substitute into that massive of a topic.

I work in a nursery at a day care and its always different and it always varies in each individual but the majority, I've seen them walk from 11 to 16 months and they start talking very few words like no or mama as early as 13 or 14 moths, and then fully developing their communication skills until they are about 24 months.

The basic rule of thumb is one year, give or take 2 months. Girls tend to talk sooner, boys tend to walk sooner- again, rule of thumb, not law. Generally speaking, it seems as though the motor development and language development locations in the brain 'take turns' - so kids who walk earlier, may not be saying as many words, and vice versa. Every child is different and has their own clock!

Any time between 10 and 18 months. It varies a lot. They say 12 months, but rarely is it clockwork. Your pediatrician will help you make sure your baby is on track.
