When you get approached by bums for money do you give them some?

i dont. cuz i knwo it will go str8 to booze. i have bought some food and a drink and laid it next to them while they were sleeping. I once offered a guy whatever food he wanted but he refused and wanted money. just like that scary movie scene "i said a dollar b itch(throws the burger back at her)"

In my travels I have ran into all kinds of street people. Herd every excuse in the book. I offer to get what they ask me for. 9 times of 10 they want the money. Sometimes I'll give change. But no more. One of my pet peeves is someone asking for a cigarette with booze breath. If you beg money for booze then buy you some rolling tobacco at least.

I have had a similar experience where I offered a lady some food and she declined. I have given people on the street clothes too. I pick and choose who I give to. If they look disabled or elderly I will give them cash if I have some or food. I think that its harder for the older street people and the disabled people to get back on their feet and all I can do is hope they buy food with it. At least its something.

If they are straight up and say its for booze/drugs, then i reward them for their honesty.

If they look like someone worked them over Brooklyn Bathroom Beatdown style, I give them some to make their lives a little better.

If they entertain me, I pay for their services (I have had everything from basic conversation, wisdom, dancing, to singing given me by so-called bums)

If they seem like they need it (people that have run out of gas and have no cash, need bus fair, etc.) I get them what they ask for to return the favors cosmically that I recieved being caught in similar situations (much like you do, and if they refuse, well more for me, and f- them for lyin').

If I am too broke, well to each his own and survival of the fittest...

Well i only give it to people who are disabled, i mean i dont want to sound mean or anything but i think they deserve money more than the people who are begging for money just so they can go and get drugs. I mean they have hands and feet why dont u go make something out of urself instead of sitting here begging but the people who are disabled or are mentally challenged those are the people i give money to. I think they deserve it more than the people who are homeless because it was their fault.

yeah, that happened to me once..a friend and I were eating at mcdonalds and a homeless guy came in and asked for change so i offered to buy him a meal or anything else he wanted..he had the nerve to tell me that he wasn't in the mood for mcdonalds and that he wanted something else...and to just give him the money for the meal and he'll just get wat he wants..lol..i gave him a dollar..my friend and I were just so shocked..if you are hungry are you or are you not going to eat ANYTHING? but I do give random homeless people money here and there...

I usually give them money and I don't care if they spend it on booze....maybe the booze will keep them warm.

Truth is, I never really know what they are going to use the money for and if I give them money it really isn't my business what they do with it.
