Siamese algae eaters are very peaceful. Are you sure it is a true algae eater? There are several imposters that are aggressive.

BTW, koi and goldfish are coldwater fish, and the algae eater is tropical, by keeping them together you are causing one of them to suffer. Of course that won't matter because your tank is so incredibally overstocked, they are going to die anyway. Koi grow over 2 feet long, your tank is not even that wide most likely.

First of all, koi grow 3 feet long and need ponds of at least 1000 gallons. Second of all, that siamese algae eater is a tropical fish and koi and goldfish are coldwater. This leads to problems. Obviously you don't know much about fish. Separate the algae eater from the coldwater fish. And algae eaters can be very aggressive... that's what your problem is. My advice: separate the goldfish and koi from the algae eater and get a HUGE tank if you want your fish to have a good life. They are slowly dying of ammonia poisoning in a tank that small, even though your fish may seem happy.

A plecosomous (pleco) is the only docile algae eater that I know of. Your siamese is attracted to the colorful fins of the koi. Koi are natural bottomfeeders like carp so if your gravel base isn't too deep the koi will keep the tank clean themselves. Plecos are natural 'surface cleaners' so invest in one of them, they grow fast like koi.

the algae will suck a hole in your goldfish or koi, get rid of him, you don't need him anyway, the goldfish and koi do the same job
and note to others who answered - do not put plecos with goldfish and koi, they will suck their eyes out and suck all the slime off the fish

Your probably going to have to separate them, they are probably like beta fish, you have to separate them or they will hurt or kill the other fish in the tank.

Hope this answers your question! :o)
