Your time and effort.
If you live near her, make her a special dinner and just spend a special day together. Go see a show together. Buy some supplies and do some scrapbooking.
Give her a journal and ask her to write down her history and stories about the family, including recipes.
Buy her something practical that she will definitely use. Gloves or winter boots (if she needs them.)
Use your computer to make gift certificates she can redeem for something once a month. You can make a certificate for a lunch date, helping her organize, helping her with gardening, a hug, etc.
Your time and effort are priceless.

Think of what she likes or what she needs, and if you have no clue then buy her a gift certificate , this way you give her the additional gift of letting her go shopping " women like that more than anything" , there are many ideas at http://goodmanzone.tripod.com/index.html#START and they do have suggestions for gift certificates too.

Get her a nice cup and some special tea to go with it. Then while she is enjoying her tea, clean her house and do some laundry, paint the outside of her house, or clean the yard, or the car.
