Yes. We need more troops. One of the major problems with the previous policy under Rumsfeld has been under-deployment. I agree with Gates and Bush - lets put sufficient force in the region, achieve the goals of training the Iraqi military, help them ratifying their democracy and help with rebuilding the infrastructure and then get out.

Well, actually, no it isn't. There is no where near enough troops in our country to be able to be successful in Iraq. We need to cut our losses and come home before we lose much more than what we already have. Do you think Bush would support the war if his twin daughters were sent to the front lines. The war would be over right now and the troops would be on the way home. Another alternative to the war is to pull a World War Two and drop a bomb on the SOB's and make sure they can penetrate mountains and caves so that we can find bin Laden and bring him to justice. Here's a tough question, how hard is it to find a 7 foot tall man that is on dyalisis? That's really hard. Don't you think?

At this point I am a major Pessimist. I think he is trying to tie America up even more in Iraq so that oil prices stay considerably low and so that Americans will vote Republican because they'll be too scarred to vote an anti-war person into office while we have so many good people there.
We should pull our troops down to the Kuwaitee border. That would be defensible and save American lives, then the Iraqies can fight for there country and split it up as it should have sixty years ago. Mr. Bush may even come out looking like a hero. Of course he wants the region for some reason and won't pull out.

No, it's not a good idea. Even the Generals say it's a mistake. Bush does not have a plan other than to throw more troops into Iraq. He's an idiot. I'd bet that Bush wants to reinstate a draft, which is another big mistake. Where else would he get the additional 30,000 troops he wants to send there?

It depends. If more troops would help the war effort and result in a win for us then yes. But if we can not win then no we should probably leave. I hate comparing the two but if you remember the problem with the Vietnam War it was the removal of troops from the country. Bush should listen to his generals and do what they say because they are fighting the war and they know what it takes to win.

Absolutely not!
As long as American troops are dying for these people they feel no need to stand up and defend themselves!
Bring all of our troops home now and let them handle this mess that George Warprofits Bush has made for this country as well as theirs!

What ever ones stance on the war is, this is probably a must. We either need to just clean up as much as we can and get out, or train the Iraqies, to do it themselves, then get out. Either way it is going to take more troops. Either way it will take more troops
