Good customer service encourages the customer to buy more and make return visits to the store.
If you are rude to someone while they are asking you for help they will get frustrated and decide not to return to the store.
Always use good customer service when dealing with anyone... bad news travels faster than good news ; so you are rude to one person they are going to tell 10 people how much of an *** the sales clerk was to them and then suddenly you have 10 people that are not going to that store.
Get the idea?
Sometimes it sucks , really really sucks ...people are rude, but suck it and smile unless you want your business to fail.

Customers who are treated well become loyal customers. There are certain places that I will visit forever because the owners and those who work there are exception people who are kind to me. I am only too happy to give them my business.

Hey tp j its not a very clever question mate.
If you have a customer that will give you money
if you have to look for a new customer that will cost you money until another one buys.
You want to treat the customers you have like gold because that is where your gold comes from.

Customers, particularly return customers, are the life blood of your business. Without them you will go out of business. having repeat customers is cheaper than having to advertise for new one.

Because if you treat them badly they'll buy from someone else. If you treat them REALLY badly then they can report you, especially if you sell them faulty goods and refuse to replace them, or if you give poor customer service.
