I believe that you need a special type of power supply for a mobo but i want to make sure. If so how do you know which power supply is good 4 u?

Yes, it has to be the right kind of supply to plug into your mobo.

Most good modern PSUs are compatible with most motherboards. The only problem is if you have a prebuilt machine like a Dell, Compaq, Gateway, etc. Alot of those companies use proprietary power supplies and will NOT work with a regular name brand PSU.

If you have a prebuilt PC you should call the manufacturer and ask them before plugging in a PSU that could destroy your machine.

Sure does, newwer boards have a power pulug that requires a plu off the power supply,

theres really only two types in wide use ... the old style atx has 20 pins ... the new is 24 ... if u dont have a high-end video card u need about 300watts ... if u do have a good video card u need 500watt+

All you have to do is a buy a modern and reputable brand power supply (such as Enermax) and it should work just fine.
