Gee I don't know. I thought it might be important when all of a sudden a bunch of celebrities talk about starvation in Zimbabwe and we asks ourselves what happened.

Zimbabwe is the next African crisis. Darfur already is a crisis

The great bygone era of Zimbabwe that you are alluding to is during the colonial period. Don't foget that the country only got majority rule in the 1980's.....it is democracy in its infancy stages. The country is in despair because the majority population were for the longest time deprived of participating in the economy as antyhting more than labor. So alot of work needs to be done to elevate people to where they need to be....when the U.S. was been formed, who would have thought it would be the country it is today. The same problems you see in burgeoning democracies were also evident.

As for Ethiopia & Eritrea...well this is not new...after all Eritrea ceded from Ethiopia in the 1990's........

yes, and its horrible! its 21st century genocide, and instead of fighting a retarded war in Iraq, this government should help the people who really need it.

blood diamond industry will prevail...I hate to say ! when Britian was in control of S.Africa...it was stable...no longer !
